Talent alone isn't enough. Everything is earned.
The local talent is here. The problem is too many players are training the wrong way — copying social media drills from people who've never competed at the professional level. At Next Gen, we provide the mentorship, structure and attention to detail needed to actually develop.
High-level standards create high-level players. Every session has purpose, intensity and accountability.

Founder and Head Trainer Zach Verhoven brings firsthand experience from over 100 professional matches and seven seasons in the Canadian Premier League.
Born in Surrey, BC, his development pathway mirrors the journey many young local players aspire to follow — through the Vancouver Whitecaps FC academy and Surrey United BCSPL, then a full-ride athletic scholarship to UBC.
Drafted into the CPL in 2019, Zach went on to play for Pacific FC, Atlético Ottawa and Vancouver FC, competing internationally in Spain, China, Australia, Fiji and the United States against top academies and clubs abroad.
"I had no direction as a youth player. I made countless mistakes and only began to understand the habits required once I entered a professional environment. My goal is to make sure every athlete I work with enjoys the process, keeps a positive mindset and builds consistent habits on and off the field. We're here to develop winners — but more importantly, good people."
The next player to build confidence.
The next player to earn their spot.
